Jason was born in San Diego, California on October 21, 1978 to Robyn Swearingen and the late Jeffery Rose.

Jason was an extremely outgoing, social person who always had a smile on his face. He never met a stranger and could make anyone laugh. He was artistic and creative, and enjoyed being a tattoo artist for over 11 years. He also enjoyed listening to music. His family and friends will truly miss his charismatic personality.

Left to cherish his memory along with his mother Robyn, is his wife Crystal Rose; his children Madison Rose, Zaine Rose, Jasten Rose, Alyvia Rose, and Reahnna Wilkey; as well as his siblings Stephanie Rose, Nichole Rose, Brian Rose, Jacob Black, Jeremiah Schnorenburg, Savannah Schnorenburg, and Naomi Schnorenburg.

Obituary Preview: Mr. Jim Edward Gray, Sr., 76, went home to be with the Lord on Friday May 3, 2024.

Jim was born in Aiken, South Carolina on March 12, 1948 to the late Margie and Paul Gray. In his younger years, Jim proudly and with honor served his country in the United States Navy. He was a skilled carpenter who did woodworking not only as a job, but as a beloved hobby. Jim took pride in being a Master Tin Bender. He loved to sight see on his Harley Davidson Motorcycle when he had the chance. He was a loving husband and best friend to his wife, Kathleen. Jim was a Godly man whose love for the Lord was steadfast and unwavering. He loved sharing the word of God to whoever would listen. Jim had been called to write 8 Christian books, which he also shared with everyone he could. (Please find the link to his website below)

In addition to his parents, Jim is preceded in death by his brother Lucky Gray (Wanda) and sister Linda.

Obituary Preview: Mrs. Phyllis Velma Anderson Jackson, 87, of Clearwater, SC, wife of the late Rufus L. Jackson, entered into rest on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loved ones.

A lifelong area resident, she was a daughter of the late Myron C. and Lila Williams Anderson. A retired Hairdresser, she owned and operated Phyllis Beauty Shop for many years. Miss Phyllis was a dedicated member of Woodridge Baptist Church where she sang in the choir and was formerly very active with the Sams Club. She was happiest when she took trips, especially trips to Maggie Valley, the beach and going on cruises. However, nothing made her happier than spending time with her family, whom she loved dearly and doted on as often as she could.

Miss Phyllis was much loved and will be dearly missed by her children, Arleen Mitchum and her husband, Mark, Phyllis Workman and her husband, Bo and Phillip Jackson, grandchildren, Amy (Joe), Wesley (Jaclyn), Emily (Lee), Kelly, Crystal, Logan (Shana) and Madison (Ethan), great-grandchildren, Alex, Cameron, Montana, Macie, Baylen (Sarah), Averie and Haydon and great-great-grandchildren, Cooper, and Zayne. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Shane.

The family will greet friends on Saturday, May 4, 2024, from 6 until 8 o’clock at Hatcher Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 3464 Jefferson Davis Highway, Graniteville, SC. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, May 5, 2024, at 3 o’clock at Woodridge Baptist Church, Clearwater, SC. Deacon Dewayne Newton, and Pastor Mike Kelly will officiate. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Graniteville, SC. Pastor Jackie Ray Robinson will officiate at the graveside. Pallbearers will be Wesley Mitchum, Logan Jackson, Baylen Abellan, Alex Johnson, Cameron Johnson, and Haydon Ryals. Obituary Preview: Mr. Clayton Wheeler, 34, of Grovetown, GA, husband of Jennifer Woodruff Wheeler, entered into rest on Tuesday, April 30, 2024.

A resident of the area most of his life except for a brief stint in Florida, he was a son of Randolph Inglett and Lisa Coleman Anderson. He was an Electricians Helper. Clayton enjoyed spending time with his family and outdoor activities such as fishing and camping.

Additional family members include his children, Brandie, Joseph and the late Deanna Wheeler, siblings, Crystal Wheeler and Tina Blackburn, Jennifer’s children, Alexia Woodruff, Landen Palmer and Jorden Palmer, grandparents, the late Marcus and Lillie May Wheeler and the late Clayton and Eva Inglett and let us not forget his child that has fur and walks on four legs, Rebel.

Hearts are heavy due to Clayton’s death. The family takes comfort however, knowing that Clayton helped many people by being an organ donor.

Obituary Preview: Mr. Ralph Wyman Moseley, 85, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, April 30, 2024.

Ralph was born in Aiken, South Carolina on April 19, 1939 to the late Beatrice Abney Moseley and Wyman Arthur Moseley.

Ralph proudly and with honor served his country in the United States Army during Vietnam. He achieved the rank of E-4, Specialist, in the Army's Mechanized Infantry, First Armored Division. He worked at Graniteville Company and Retired from Owens Corning Fiberglass after 32 years of service. Ralph also served his church in many capacities including as a Deacon, Sunday School Teacher, and on The Holy Rollers (Property and Grounds). Most of all he enjoyed singing in the choir next to his wife.

In his free time, Ralph enjoyed playing golf, gardening, reading his bible and singing to the tunes of the 50s music.

He loved his children and being PaPa to his grandchildren, teaching them how to play golf, baseball, football, basketball, letting them ride the lawnmower to cut grass, taking them to the antique mall, and eating doughnuts. Above all he taught by example to live a life filled with the love for Jesus. In addition to his parents, Ralph is preceded in death by his

Grandson Robert Asher Finley, his sisters Shirley Smith and Gail Yonce, and brother Clifford Moseley.

Left to cherish his memory along with his wife of 27 years, Wyanne Moseley, are his children Ron Moseley, of Aiken, S.C. and Leah Finley (Shawn), of Denver, N.C.; his stepchildren Michael Hall and Sheila Boulware (Greg) of Augusta, GA; grandchildren Noah and Ryan Moseley, Ryerson and Levi Finley, Kaitlyn, Cassidy, and Chandler Boulware, and Elam Hall, and one great granddaughter, Zola.

In his earlier years, Ken enjoyed golfing and fishing. He was a member of the El Casino Boating and Recreation Club for over 35 years.

Ken was a loving husband and friend who will be truly missed.

In addition to his parents, Ken is preceded in death by his brothers Bobby and Doug Carden.

Left to cherish his memory along with his wife of 59 years, Mrs. Charlotte Weathersbee Carden; is his sister Cathy Mayfield, brother and sister-in-law Bruce and Debbie Turner; his best friend of 69 years Danny E. Obituary Preview: Mr. Finley T. “Terry” Boyd, Sr., 74, of Jackson, SC, went home to be with his Lord and Savior and was reunited with “his bride” and “best friend’’, of fifty-three years, Gloria Walker Boyd, on Monday, April 22, 2024, while in the comfort of his home, right where he wanted to be.

Born in and a lifelong resident of Aiken County, SC, he and his twin, the late Frank Larry Boyd, were born to the late Haskell John and Ruby O’nita Duncan Boyd. Terry retired from the Medical College of Georgia and had also been previously employed by SRS, Boyd Fence Company, and Boyd Glass Service. A dedicated member of Heights Church, he loved his Lord and Savior and his Pastor, Mark Canipe.

Terry and Gloria had a “storybook” romance that others could only dream of. When you see one, you would see the other. Always smiling and walking hand and hand. Doors were always opened, and chairs pulled out. Terry loved “his girl”.

Terry was loved and will be missed by his children, Jason Ronell Boyd and his fiancé, Tammy Rinker, Melissa Janeal Kallas and her husband, Joe, and Haskell James Boyd, a nephew who was more like a son, Frank Boyd and his wife, Cindy, and even though not biological children, he loved Robert and Donna Gladden and Susan Moses and Grady Smitherman, as if they were his own, grandchildren, Skyler Ray, Jonathan Boyd, Mallary McKie and her husband, Dal, Aidon Kallas, Christopher Kallas, William Kallas, Brenden Boyd, Christina Boyd, Erin Cowart and Lloyd McKie, several nieces and nephews, his church family, and countless friends.

Terry was also preceded in death by a son, Finley Terry “T” Boyd and his wife, Christy and a granddaughter, Brianna O’nita Powell.

Friends will be greeted by the family on Friday, April 26, 2024, beginning noon at the Shepherd's Church, 6544 Cobham Rd., Appling, GA. He was a kind man who would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. He was a “rock” to many, including his children. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. Marc will be truly missed by his family and friends.

Born in and a lifelong resident of Aiken County, SC, she was a daughter of the late Ernest and Leona Leopard Whittle. A former Cosmetologist, she took great pride in the appearance of her clients as well as her own appearance. Miss Marie was a dedicated member of Mercy Gate Church. She was happiest when she was fishing, making cakes (she was well known for making delicious cakes and her red velvet cakes were second to none) spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed eating outside and was known for saying, “Let’s eat outside. Everything tastes better outside.” Her children and grandchildren will always remember that Merthiolate could fix anything.

Miss Marie is loved and will be missed by her children and their spouses, Pam and Dale Lamb, Kim and Danny Anderson, Perry and Wyndel Gunnells, Mikey and Janet Gunnells, Bonnie and Terry Taylor and Bobbie Williams, a brother, Ernest A. Whittle, grandchildren and their spouses, Justin and Christa Anderson, Lance and Paige Durden, Jeffery and Shannon Anderson, Lauren and Ben Hanna, Matthew and Sara Anderson, Wil and Allye Lamb, Jennifer and Shawn Slawson, Jordan and Mandy Taylor and Josh Taylor, her thirteen great-grandchildren and her beloved dog, Jake.

Obituary Preview: Mr. John Duncan Skinner, 78, of North Augusta, SC, affectionately known as, “Big John”, beloved husband of Terrie Holton Skinner, entered into rest on Saturday, April 13, 2024, in the comfort of his home.

Born in Leesville, LA, he was a son of the late Evander B. and Myrtis Hinson Skinner. At the age of 12, he hitchhiked from Leesville, LA to Tuscaloosa, AL, so that he could attend school. While in Tuscaloosa, he became a diehard lifelong TIDE fan.

Following graduation, he enlisted in the United States Navy, where he became an Aircraft Mechanic. Following his honorable discharge from the Navy, he went to work with Southern Bell. After Southern Bell, he worked as a Journeyman Pipefitter and Maintenance Construction Supervisor traveling from coast to coast. He relocated to North Augusta, SC, in 1996. At the time of his death, he was employed by Gold Mech. Big John always looked forward to spending time with his family and friends.

Big John is loved and will be missed by his wife, Terrie, daughters and their husbands, Tammy and Ricky Downs, Donna Jean and Tony Young, a son, James Calvin Bannister, III, a brother, Vernal Skinner and his wife, Faye, grandchildren, Jordan Underwood, Jacob Underwood and his wife, Megan and James Owen Bannister, a great-granddaughter, Rayne Underwood, and of course his much-loved dog, Peddie Pie.

He was also preceded in death by a son, John Duncan Skinner, Jr.

The family will greet friends on Thursday, April 18, 2024, from 11 until 12 o’clock at Hatcher Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 3464 Jefferson Davis Highway, Graniteville, SC. A graveside service will follow in Pineview Memorial Gardens, North Augusta, SC. Pastor Ricky Downs will officiate. Veteran’s honors will be rendered by the American Legion Post 71 Ceremonial Team. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ward Clark; parents, Edward A. “Billy” and Vera Padgett Duncan; sister, Nancy Duncan Beasley; and brother, Eddie Duncan.

Mrs. Clark was born in Augusta, GA, and was a life-long resident of Aiken County. She graduated from Langley-Bath-Clearwater High School in 1972. She spent her career working for the Medical College of Georgia, where she served as the office manager for the Cardiothoracic Surgery Department, later served as the coordinator for the Dermatology Residency Program, and later served as the office manager for the Metabolic Endocrinology Department. Her true love was spending time with her beloved husband of 48 years, her sons and grandsons, her sisters and extended family, as well as her many life-long friends. She especially enjoyed traveling to the beach or the mountains with her family and grandsons, and looked forward to the annual "Duncan Girls" trips with her sisters and nieces. Her door was always open to family and friends, as well as to the many childhood friends of her sons, who were known to spend a lot of time around her kitchen table enjoying the food she loved to cook for them.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Graem Clark (Brantley), Irmo, SC and Brian Clark, North Augusta, SC; sisters, Linda Duncan Ingle (the late John), Irmo, SC; Kathy Duncan New (Steve), North Augusta, SC and Judy Duncan (the late Eddie), Langley, SC; her grandchildren, Graem Mason Clark, Jr., Roper Clark, and Duncan Clark; as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.

Karen was an outgoing, free spirit who never met a stranger. She had a big heart and would lend a helping hand to anyone in need. She called the Aiken area home for the past 40 years, but prior to that she resided in Kentucky and Ohio. She loved traveling, but her favorite place was the beach, Shelter Island, NY and Tybee Island, GA. Gardening was one of her favorite hobbies, and you could often find her relaxing with a cold beer in hand. Karen had many endearing titles, Momma Karen, Aunt Grandma, Weeza, but she was everyone’s Aunt Karen. She loved the large family she collected through the years. Through her four battles with cancer, she remained a strong and faithful follower. Karen attended Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church for many years. She will be missed by many.

In addition to her parents, Karen is preceded in death by her 3 siblings, Ann Bilu, Bruce Ginn and James Ginn (Maureen). Left to cherish her memory along with her daughter, in every sense, Susan Jordan (Chuck), nieces Nicole Bilu (Greg), Amy Langan (Ted), Julie Butt (Joe), Kelly Steinhauser (Jamie) Kate Ginn, and nephews Alexander Bilu and Chad Ginn and all of their children.

In accordance with her wishes, Karen will be cremated and returned to one of her favorite places- the beach. Her celebration of life will be announced at a later time.

In his free time he enjoyed puzzles, dominos and making diamond art. He was also a devout Christian. Bill was well loved and affectionately known to many as "Uncle Bill". He had "a life well lived" and will be missed greatly by his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Bill is preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Rachel Eaton; his son Andrew "Ace" Eaton, and his siblings Marilyn Riley and Benjamin Earle Eaton, Jr.

She worked for Graniteville Company’s Warren Division with fifteen years of service. A dedicated member of Stiefeltown Baptist Church, Mrs. Annie loved the Lord. She enjoyed yardwork, cooking, sewing, traveling to Hilton Head and home to Germany, but she especially loved spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a daughter Martha Green and her siblings, Gertrude Deiner and Horst Bär.
